I have a stack of "reject" watercolors (figure drawings that are not "Nude of the Day" quality) which I use the backs of when I'm running low on watercolor paper. Last week, after a grueling move to my new apartment, (I'm still having a hard time finding where anything is) I grabbed a stack of "reject" paper to take with me to the Society of Illustrators. I had a pretty bad night with plenty of new rejects to add to the pile. But when looking over my disasters from that night, I came across this painting of Kika. Having a fresh look at this piece I realized that I really like the attitude in it. So this one is saved from the "reject" pile.

It screams "Fashion Illustration"! I like how different this is.
I was just looking at Fashion Illustration books last night. There's some great figure work out there.
