Another day at the Hipbone Studio digging around to find my grove. This is a new model for me but with the same name as one of the models at the Society of Illustrators in NY. I knew this day would come, so to differentiate between the two, I changed the old tag to Sara B. Hope this doesn't confuse people too much.

Portlanders, go check out the Last Thursday festivities on Alberta Street today. Rebecca is setting up a stand with her newly painted silks and she will have some of my watercolors out as well. I, unfortunately, won't be able to make it because I'm visiting family in Florida (and desperately trying to finish up some Illustration work).

Here's Another one from my first session at the Hipbone Studio in Portland, Oregon. This pose was absolutely gorgeous. I was sitting on the opposite side and had to move my whole set up to get this wonderful angle. Unfortunately I got ahead of myself and failed to capture the beauty of the pose.

Guess what everyone, this is one of my first watercolors done in my new city, Portland, Oregon. I went to the Hipbone Studio last week and after catching my breath from the bike ride there (I'm way out of shape) and getting situated, I struggled to get back into the grove of drawing from a live model. It wasn't the most successful session, but the new environment was nice and the new model was a great challenge. We'll see how I'll do at the next one.

Guess what again? Today is also the last day of my 20's. That's right, tomorrow I turn the big 3-0. So if you want to make my day, take advantage of the 2-for-1 Sale and buy a drawing (hint. hint).
