The difference between the Jazz and Sketch sessions at the Society of Illustrators and the ones at Hipbone (besides the lack of live music by the Halftones and a fully stocked bar, and all the great historical illustrations on the walls) is that the Society usually has two models modeling. Unfortunately this session one of the models didn't show up. But Tangerine (that's her burlesque stage name) did a great job modeling and had enough presence for the model that was missing.

I've been in New York and Massachusetts the last few weeks hanging out with my friends and family. While there I got to visit my old stomping grounds, the Society of Illustrators for their Jazz and Sketch sessions. I grabbed my old spot at the front of the model stand and my old job of calling time and directing the model. It was like riding a bike.
