This is an oldie from sometime in 2006. I painted at the same time as a few other pieces I posted on this blog. Most notably, the 500th Nude in 2008. And speaking of milestones, tune in next month for the 1000th nude. It'll be another oldie that I totally forgot about, but recently rediscovered. If you haven't checked out yesterday's post, the reason for the 2-for-1 Special is that this painting is on the back of the painting of World Famous "Bob" from yesterday. If you buy this painting you get the other one at no extra cost. Yesterday I also mentioned an "interesting narrative one could add to these two paintings". I'll let you decide what the story of these two is (and I expect Dave to come up with a real good one), but keep in mind that there is a woman named "Bob" on one side, and a man undressing on the other.

This is weird coincidence; I painted a male nude (semi-nude) on the back of this painting of the World Famous "Bob". Both paintings started off on an 11x15 inch watercolor paper. I cropped in on "Bob" to get rid of the excess white space and to better the overall composition. It worked out in such a way that the painting on the other side was bettered by the crop. So in reality, if you buy this piece, you get one sheet of watercolor paper with a painting on both sides, hence the 2-for-1 Special. There is also an interesting narrative one could add to these two paintings. Tune in tomorrow to find out what it is.
